Separate inclinometer

This type is supplied separately and attached behind the cone by means of a connector. The nominal range for two directions is -20° to +20° and the accuracy is ± 0,25°. It can be connected to ELC2, ELC5, ELC10 and ELC15 cones, compression as well as subtraction types. 

Inclinometer integrated in the cone tip

Next to the separate digital inclinometers, there are inclinometers available that are integrated in the cone tip. The integrated inclinometer is available for the ELC10 and ELC15 cone, compression as well as subtraction type. Advantages are that a deviation is earlier detected so that there is a better chance of preventing damage to the cone and that a shorter and cheeper screwthread adaptor can be used between the cone and the CPT rod.
