Ball clamps

Ball clamps are available for several applications. The pulling ball clamp is installed in the upper beam for easy retrieval of the CPT rods during pulling and the catching ball clamp is installed in the underbeam, preventing that CPT rods fall back into frictionless holes while pulling. The clamps are availabable for CPT rods and casing pipes with Ø25, Ø36, Ø45, Ø56 en Ø85 mm diameters. They are suitable for installation in CPT unit types Hyson LW and Hyson 200 kN. 

Combined push/pull clamp

Most types of CPT units can be provided with a combined push/pull clamp. In case of the Hyson 100 kN-LW it enable the use of CPT rods with 1000 mm length instead of 500 mm, resulting in less screw thread connections and easier and quicker operations. The clamp is available for CPT rods Ø25 en Ø36 mm. 

Mechanical push/pull clamp

In the Hyson 200 kN the mechanical push/pull clamp can be installed. For this clamp several clamping inserts are available for handling more types of rods and pipes, like for instance Ø25, Ø36, Ø45 and Ø56 mm diameter. 

Hydraulic push/pull clamp

The hydraulic push/pull clamp is suitable for pushing and pulling rods in the diameter range of Ø36-60 mm. Any diameter within this range can be handled. Switching between rods with a diameter of 36 and 56 mm is done by simply turning a tap at the frontside of the clamp. The clamp is fully automatic. The control system in the automatic CPT cycle makes sure that the clamp opens and closes at exactly the right moments. The heavy-duty clamp is suitable for handling rods up to a pushing force of 300 kN. 

Automatic CPT rod screwing device

This device is a part of the AutoCoson and can also be used separately in standard CPT equipment to eliminate the procedure of screwing CPT rods on and off by hand. Handling the CPT rods is thus made easier and faster. All the operator has to do is set the rod in the CPT rod screwing device. A sensor will activate the robotic arm to take over the CPT rod and screw it onto the previous one. During pulling the procedure is reversed. CPT operation is even further improved when the Icone with its thinner cable is used in combination with the CPT rod screwing device. Thanks to its ergonomical features the device has been added to the so-called Farbo-list in the Netherlands that allows entrepreneurs to depreciate the investment quicker to obtain extra tax benefits.
