Rotap-65

All types of CPT units, except the Hyson 100 kN-LW, can be provided with an integrated hydraulic drilling unit type Rotap-65. This way hard soil layers can be passed and CPT operations can be resumed afterwards. The Rotap has a torque of 250 Nm at 180 rev/min and a maximu torque of 650 Nm at 40 rev/min. The Rotap is installed in the upper beam of the CPT unit and driven by the hydraulic system of the CPT unit, providing a fully adjustable bit pressure of 0-10 kN. The controls are integrated in the control desk of the CPT unit. The Rotap is provided with a water swivel with maximum 100 bar water pressure. For the water supply to the Rotap a water pump set is supplied with a capacity of abt. 62 l/min and a maximum water pressure of 40 bar. Weight is abt. 40 kg.

Preparation of the CPt unit

It is possible to prepare a new CPT unit beforehand for integration of the Rotap in a later stage. In that case it will be easier and cheaper to install the Rotap afterwards.
